Own the numbers for $50-100 M in active projects—be the go-to accounting expert for project managers and executives.
Mentorship & growth: You’ll supervise a junior accountant today and step into an Accounting Manager track within 18–24 months.
Impact: Shape job-cost controls, WIP reporting, and cash-flow forecasting as the company scales to $500 M+.
Lead full-cycle job cost accounting : budgets, commitments, change orders, and cost-to-complete analyses.
Prepare monthly WIP schedules & percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
Manage project billings, subcontractor pay apps, and retention ; resolve discrepancies with PMs & vendors.
Drive month-end close for construction entities—journal entries, accruals, balance-sheet recs, and variance analysis.
Compile consolidated financial statements and KPI dashboards for senior leadership & lending partners.
Ensure sales/use tax and lien waiver compliance across multi-state projects.
Partner with operations to implement process improvements (e.g., Procore, Sage 300, or Viewpoint upgrades).
Support the annual audit and CPA review ; liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA/CMA highly preferred).
5+ years of construction accounting with heavy job-cost/WIP exposure in a GC, developer, or large subcontractor.
Advanced proficiency in construction ERPs (Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint/Vista, Foundation, or similar).
Solid grasp of percentage-of-completion, GAAP, and revenue-recognition standards (ASC 606).
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and comfort wrangling large data sets.
Proven ability to communicate with project teams and meet demanding deadlines.
Base salary: $95 K – $120 K DOE + annual bonus
