What We’re Looking For
~Willingness to work weekends
~High school diploma or GED preferred
~1 year of experience in Powered Industrial Truck Operation, both sit-down and stand-up lift experience
~Active forklift certification/license - preferred
~Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems - preferred
~Experience in a fast-paced industrial environment utilizing Lean manufacturing methodologies
~Strong computer skills, including proficiency with inventory software, Excel, and Word
~Excellent safety awareness with keen attention to detail and accuracy
~High sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines
~Strong judgment and decision-making skills
~Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
~Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds, climbing onto and off lifts, walking long distances, working in varying temperatures (non-climate-controlled), and performing repetitive motions
What You’ll Do as a Material Associate
~Safely operate powered material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up lifts, tuggers, and electric jacks
~Load and unload materials manually from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves
~Supply parts to assembly and machining departments to ensure continuous production
~Maintain line inventory to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations
~Accurately and efficiently enter data into SAP and other required systems
~Support 5S and housekeeping initiatives to maintain a clean and organized work environment
~Follow nonconforming material procedures by using appropriate deviation areas and hold tags for defective parts
~Adhere to FIFO standards for all storage areas and material flow points
~Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols, including proper box-cutting techniques
~Perform other duties as assigned
